About Us

Thanks to advancements in anti-aging products, your face no longer reveals your true age.  But your hands do.  In fact, studies show that people can accurately tell a woman’s age just by viewing her hands.

Entrepreneur Kara Harshbarger realized that while there are thousands of serums, moisturizers, peels and more to treat a woman’s face, there was not one anti-aging product specifically formulated for the hands.  With a history of bringing successful products to the marketplace, Kara knew this was the next wave in anti-aging skin care.

She sought out renowned dermatologist Dr. Alex Khadavi, founder of Advanced Skin & Hair, a portal to creating cutting-edge products based on the latest science.  Both Khadavi and Harshbarger were insistent on not creating a “me, too” product that simply took an existing anti-aging formula and bottle it for hands.  Knowing the hands age differently than the face, Dr. Khadavi created a strategic and highly effective formulation to rejuvenate the hands’ aging skin.  In order to look our best, we must treat our hands as well as we treat our face.  And now we can.

Kara Harshbarger began her career in film.   Kara made her writing and directing debut with the short film A LITTLE INSIDE, which was selected to air on the Lifetime Network for the Lifetime Women’s Film Festival hosted by Anjelica Huston.  It was also screened at numerous film festivals including Aspen and Berlin.  With the success of the short, Harshbarger wrote and directed the feature length version winning ‘Best Feature’ at the New York International Independent Film Festival.  The film was then purchased by HBO.

In 2009, Harshbarger teamed up with actress Melissa George to invent a solution for women’s long hems and quickly realized that product development fueled her love of creating.  “Style Snaps by HemmingMyWay” was licensed by As Seen On TV company Merchant Media and sold over 2 million units in stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens, and many others in the U.S. and around the world.  With the success of “Style Snaps,” Harshbarger created “Beauty File,” (which launched on QVC), “Closet Organized,” and her first beauty line:  “Hand MD.”
